I came across a Youtube video for toddlers the other day. It was supposed to be an educational video to teach very young children the easter story.
The narrators were going on about thorns on Jesus' head and soldiers driving nails into hands and feet.
This particular educator is very good at early years education, and she would never dream of talking about these graphic acts to very young children if it wasn't for her faith blinding her to the reality of what she's actually doing.
Children under 5 years old do not need to be told the graphic details of crucifixion. It will just scare and confuse them.
If you're so sure of the truth of your faith, surely you can wait until children are old enough to find out for themselves.
Wishful thinking - I know. The battle of the faiths propaganda wars will continue to rage, but secularism's voice is getting louder every day.

Royal Wedding
So the royal wedding has come and gone. It seemed to run extremely smoothly.
I shed a few tears at certain moments - especially when seeing how emotional the bride's father was. To see a father sharing a few words with his first daughter in their car on the way to a wedding is not something you often see live on TV.
William looked very much like a tin soldier in his red Irish Guards colonel uniform and the bride's dress was very beautiful - the lace work was very intricate.
Well the hard work for the couple starts now - daily life together. I don't know if Kate can cook, but I imagine William would like a nice hot plate of something when he comes home from flying around the wilds of wooly Wales on a cold winter evening. I can recommend Delia Smith's complete cookery book, Kate - maybe somebody gave it to her as a wedding present.
I'm a Brit and I love all the pomp and circumstance, but I am still a republican. No head of state should be born to the role. It's just wrong, and the antiquated class system which still permeates daily life in Britain will never really change until the head of the daisy is cut off.
United Britain replacing the United Kingdom will be less likely after yesterday's performance. A good day for the family business Lizzie.
